As a former lifelong Dem, it's my take on the obvious fact that the Dems were the ones doing the quid pro quo in the Ukraine - and then in amazing hypocrisy, trying to accuse Trump of their crimes instead. Now to cover their asses, they have to fabricate bogus impeachment offenses. Kind of a bigger bolder version of the bull they pulled on Roger Stone. The reason they fail will not be just partisanship, and I may not be the only one finally pushed toward DT on account of their shenanigans.

Oh yeah, plus their shameless assault on the 2nd amendment. The Bill of Rights is every bit as integral to the Constitution as its other articles.

The loudest Leftists are obnoxious as hell, but I would submit that the left overall has more sanity than the right at this moment. Depending on how exactly the 2020 Democratic primaries sort out.

because I think our political class are w**res and c**ts,and stopped working "for the people" almost 4 decades ago.

but I do not take issue with those who identify as republican or democrat.
that is an entirely different animal.

I feel ya -- I mean I dislike politicians as much as the next person. But as citizens of a representative democracy, I feel we have a duty to participate in and discuss politics, and the issues at stake are just too important to ignore.

I used to be libertarian until I grew up a little, had some life experiences, and had a bit of a personal "woke" moment. As a younger man, I was insecure and felt oppressed by the government and other groups; these days, I look around and see how fortunate I am compared to most others in society. I make a comfortable living now and have no problem with paying a bit more in taxes if it will give others a better chance.

personal politics will always evolve for those with functioning grey matter.
it is the partisan,muppet reactionaries that remain loyal and rigid in their ideologies.
