why would a climate change fanatic take a perfectly good octopus out of the ocean and plant it in a garage like that?

Hysteria? Guess we have different definitions of that. The US government is practically the only one on the planet that's not taking climate change seriously. Virtually ever scientific organization inside or out of government on the planet, including in the US, that is in a position to intelligently comment is taking it seriously. Property insurance companies are started to take future sea level rise into account when insuring buildings along the coast, and professional organizations like ones for city planners are also. The Pentagon sure is, they have factored climate change into their long term defense projections for at least five years now. Really, the only ones that aren't taking it seriously are certain dimwitted individuals in the Excecutive Branch. You know, when you're in a room full of people and everyone else is saying X is true, and you're saying, no, Y is true, the odds are pretty damn good that you're the one that's wrong.

Wait, I initially figured this meme to be a joke.

Miami is barely above sea level, and has spent recent decades gradually elevating streets and sidewalks levels.

Even if it was located far farther inland on 'higher' ground (relatively speaking given Florida's generally low elevation), aquiffer depletion and eroding seepage from above would be crumbling the coral 'bedrock' (of which it barely qualifies as) over time, causing sinking episodes of the most catastrophic sort.

That coral, mind you, was laid in past interglacials when the area was under the sea, as it should have been for thousands of years already but still hasn't been.

blah blah blah blah etc. Soon as you informed me of how I had bought into the left's propaganda, I knew you were going to vomit the world according to trump all over me like Mr. Creosote. Shouldn't have bothered. Also, FYI, you've apparently been too busy inhaling the sweet odor from between trump's buttcheeks to notice that there is a whole world out there beyond our borders, and that virtually every government except ours, along with the majority of international agencies, professional societies and NGOs that are in a position to have an intelligent opinion on the matter have bought into the climate change "hoax" and are trying to sort out what to do about it. So Al Gore and the liberal left must control the whole world now, according to your logic. Guess its time to start looking for tickets to Mars, eh, before the mean nasty liberals start rounding up you and the other members of the Galileo Society and marching you off to re-education camps. have a nice day.

Gehenna was literally a garbage dump which was perpetually on fire. It is now a suburb in Israel.
Referring to you burning for an eternity in what is now a bucolic valley with nice houses is something called "sarcasm."

You might want to to look that word up.
Here, I'll spell it for you:
s a r c a s m

Oh, and among the various things called "hell" according to your Bible, one is hole. Git it? "Hell" and "Hole" are the same word. As in buriel hole. Yes, hellhole is literally a redundancy.

Congrats tho, on account of that being a response to my earlier statement which I knew flew above your empty noggin I read the entire 1st 3 lines just to see how you dimwittedly mucked that reading up.

Now go drink more of that 'hot cocoa'

There's a logical fallacy there if I've ever seen one. Galileo was not arguing science with other scientists. He was arguing with a bunch of church officials who used as their guidebook to how the world worked from a book translated numerous times from the original languages that was written close to 2,000 years ago and further back over the course of centuries. Its not quite the same thing.

so the fact that he was the only person in the room who was write isn't surprising, and hardly compares to the current situation except that you seem to be the one clinging to beliefs with little to know scientific backing.

And as I remember it, appealing to popularity would be something like using a phrase, "People are saying." and implying that it must be true, without identifying the people or why we should listen to them. You know, like Trump does all the time. If believing what the majority of climate scientists say is appealing to popularity, i am guilty. Just like I am guilty of believing the very popular idea that gravity makes things fall down, and the earth rotates around the sun, you know, trending stuff like that.

Oh, your keen eye found the one spelling error I inserted, just to give you the pleasure of finding it. Little minds, little pleasures. As for the rest, continue talking to yourself, I shan't interrupt any more.

Apparently I have enough worth saying that you keep coming back to nibble at the bait. Never try to troll a troll if you aren't bright enough to figure out when you're the one on the receiving end, Chuckles.
