obama warned them about a circular firing squad. The more you attack Trump the stronger he gets. He will wear impeachment like a badge. "Calling shiff to the stand " Calling pefosi shumer etc. I may OD on popcorn..

I hate that there's truth to this statement. It makes me sad that someone so obviously unequipped for his job can be so popular that almost half the country will rabidly support him before they admit they chose an idiot, and would continue to do so even after he was convicted of high crimes and misdemeanors.

THAT is why people talk about leaving the US - it's not because they hate their country, it's because the people in their country are rapidly becoming less and less willing to choose country over party. A nation like that is a terrifying place to live, because literally anything could happen at any time.

I know what you mean. Thank goodness that nightmare ended with Obama’s term and didn’t keep going with Hillary. 😁

Strong, whiny, it's all a matter of whether or not you like him, imo.

You, I imagine, thought he was whiny to start with. Or at a minimum, didn't like him, so you're inclined to think he's whining. Others, who see him as having been under constant assault since day one, may look at it differently.

I don't know the rules the senate may have for this kangaroo trial (although it likely won't get that far) but in a regular court of law, the defendant is under no legal obligation to testify.

Constitutionally the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall preside and a 2/3rd vote is needed to convict.

They might require him to testify to clarify past statements but I doubt the Senate will deem that necessary.

I think he would.
