Because libs, who've long tried to claim they are against war are now criticising Trump pulling out of Syria, like that mental midget AOC.

A lot of Trump's critics for pulling troops out of Syria were staunch Republicans like Lindsey Graham.
So, you're left with the choice of criticizing Republicans for criticizing Trump, or admitting that it was a vile thing to do. Oh, yeah, I forgot the other choice, the one here, blame it on some imaginery Liberal Scape Goat, who - gasp, never presented a flag?

Oh yes, perpetual war fan Graham. Trump ran on getting out of endless wars.

@SydneyB - But it seems like they were keep the peace at a pretty low cost.

I'm not saying there was a huge presence there but this seems to be more about pipelines than any moral issue.

Like many things Trump does, it was very erratic, and caught many people off guard. I don't feel like I (or most people) understand the motivation behind this. I don't think it was getting out of endless wars, which is something I would actually support. But I also don't know what it was.
However, the meme we're commenting on, doesn't really reflect anything meaningful.

Syria is a very complex issue. But I think Assad has a right to run his country. Trump actually seems to be affected by those Americans that are killed fighting foreign wars, altho some would say he's lying, which I personally don't believe. He's called out Bolton and Graham as the warmongers they are.

Actually, I think it does in a way. Because the far left will criticise every single thing Trump does, valid or not.

Fair enough, however, I maintain that in this case the Republicans have been far more vocal in their criticism of Trump than the left. Cheers

True, because although the right seem to have backed off intervening in foreign countries, alot of Republican politicians are still bought and paid for warmongers. Best wishes.

You probably don't like the Washington Post, but I found this article interesting. I found it interesting not because it presents information that you can't get elsewhere, but because it comes from a Trump supporter.

the kurds (pfg) were essential in taking on ISIS.
and they were promised certain carrots for their assistance:
https://thekurdishproject.org/history-and-culture/kurdish-democracy/rojava-democracy/

they were not only pivotal is securing the region, but they also held thousands of ISIS fighters in prison.

now the turks, who are pretty f**king fascist, but since they have the 2bd largest army in the UN security forces.we look the other way, ignoring their multiple human rights violations.we need turkey, and turkey has had a long LONG standing grudge with the kurds (mainly the PKK).

turkey has been salivating to invade northern Syria, and with the minute that trump announced his unilateral decision to withdraw...they jumped the border and started bombing.(this is happening RIGHT NOW).

hundreds of innocent kurds, fleeing for their lives..are dead.

the PFG kurds are being forced to not only defend themselves against turkey, but also can no longer guard the estimated 10's thousands of ISIS fighters.and will most likely be forced to go to assad, hat in hand,to ask for the SDF's assistance in fighting off the turks.

which means, ostensibly, aligning with Russia and iran (and possibly china).

all because trump decided, unilaterally mind you,to simply ignore our promises and withdraw from the region.
we have a long history of dicking over the kurds (among many others) all due to political expediency.

so this isn't the over-simplified,partisan drivel we are all being subjected to.
this is not an either/or equation.

pulling out of Syria was a trump campaign promise, and I am fine with that.
but you do not do so in a way that leaves a trusted.and successful partnership to the designs of a fascist nation seeking to exterminate them from the planet.

this bumbling and buffoonish decision by trump is just one in a long line of horrible, catastrophic and devastating foreign policy decisions that have destabilized the region.stripped us of credibility and influence .

and we get nothing.absolutely nothing out this whole ordeal.

How many is he pulling out?

but I do know it is not a full withdrawal, just from that specific northern area.

we are still in Syria.

this all smacks of presidential hubris which may facilitate a massacre.
check that.
it will be a massacre.
