lol Climate change is natural.

I won't try to change your mind because that is correct, however it doesn't automatically mean that the climate is not changing now due to man made factors. We had the same with the ozone layer, changed our behaviour and viola the whole in the ozone layer has shrunk over the last 20 years. (Trust me, that is a good thing)

Now I am not saying that I believe the current average global rise in temperatures is 100% man made, as the weather cycle and global temp are a huge system. It could be that we contribute 90% or 20% to the current warming, but it is something we should take seriously.

There has been no less than nine major climate change events that resulted in mass extinctions. I can name them all but I won’t. They all happened before people showed up and started stinking up the place.

I don’t doubt that for a minute. Thank you! And I think that there have been people on this earth since the very earliest days of human life who worshipped the earth, the trees, etc. In earlier times these people were called druids. Nowadays they call themselves authorities on climate, and call anyone who believes that climate changed long before there were unanswered, deniers. I believe that today, it is a religion much like it was a religion in the earliest days of humans.

These extinction events date all the way back to the Great Oxygenation Event that killed pretty much everything in the oceans. Our best guess is that a type of algae evolved and started pumping more oxygen into the water than the critters who lived there could handle and boom, lots of dead stuff. Somewhere around 90% of all sea life died if memory serves. It’s ludicrous to tell me that the climate is changing because I refuse to buy a Prius.

Actually there is a difference to a religion, for the change in climate over the last 100 years there is evidence you can check yourself and verify. You can't do that with a religion.

Wrong! Every religion has a loose collection of facts. Faith is the glue that connects those facts. And others can look at the very same facts and arrive at a very different religion, based upon their beliefs.
