Stand on? I don't really care about your political stance, and you know what they say about arguing on the internet, right? Regardless, my point still stands: no matter what the subject might be, how can anyone expect to be taken seriously if they don't even have a firm grasp of the English language? And more over, people can't be bothered to pay attention to that squiggly red line under misspelled words? That's either laziness or just plain stupid. ....A reply is not necessary, but I'm sure you won't be able to resist.

The popular votes of EACH STATE call the elections, not the popular vote of the country. I know thats probably too much information for your liberal troll brain...
0 ups, 5y
No, they do not.

Save for 2 States, the EC is a winner-take-all system, so the votes in the minority are discounted for whom they were cast for, instead going to the winner. Thus the EC screws people on the State level contrary to how its supporters claim it doesn't on the Federal.

We're not a democracy, we're a constitutional republic. There's a difference.
2 ups, 5y
Any form of Republic is a form of /representive/ Democracy. Direct demicracy is what you are not.

The electoral college allows everyone outside the West and East coasts to have a say in the elections, so even though I didn't support Bush,he won the election with the electoral college.
1 up, 5y
Except for 2 States, the EC is a winner-take-all system, nullifying the intent of votes in the minority which instead go to the winner. So they do not all have a say.

Just because 2000 was sketchy as hell, (called FL for Gore, then FL is too close to call, then FL is called for Bush, recounts in Broward County, hanging "chads") doesn't mean 2016 was the same situation.
Besides, it's a little suspect that GWB's brother was governor of FL at the time.
After all the sh*t this country has been through with the previous FOUR administrations (which is why a lot of people don't trust either party), is it any wonder DJT was elected?
2 ups, 5y
Bush couldn't do anything right

In 2016, Trump barely scored 10%. I'll remind you of that

^ A GhostInChurch classic that's still available with the templates.

Cool, man, thanks, I appreciate it.

'Tis fair.
For me, it's all just words, so no biggie.
But he reacted late last year when someone said something like that, so I felt bad.

Since it seems as if you think the only measure of how a person is doing his job is to post a poll (of a random sampling of people) of his approval ratings you should post approval ratings of each individual member of Congress as well. Doubtful many of them would fare any better.

Many times I didn’t approve of how my boss was acting, but as long as I had a job, got paid for the work and the company continued to prosper his approval/disapproval by me didn’t mean squat

neither of those are what I asked you for, they are simply your opinions on the situation. You know what they say about opinions...
