Just like a hoe is going to be a hoe, a huckster is going to be a huckster. Hhey're going to make you promises they can't keep and never intended to. And, while we're all dazzled by the flashy con artist, the one we really need in our lives seems like an absolute bore we don't want to be bothered with. But, no matter how high the pile of huckster crap stacks up, the Gospel is still Good News!

Hey it is but sadly churches twist the gospel into lies.

That's all the rage these days. I once had a guy tell me that as a Christian, he had a RIGHT to curse as much as he wanted to. So, that was why he used to curse like 10 sailors. Now, we all sin but, trying to justify it with the Gospel is just foolishness. But, that's the way the give to get scheme churches are run. The Catholics have their indulgences for donations and, the Protestants have there Charisma and financial seeds of faith for greed. It's getting really really hard to find good Bible believing churches anymore.

I cannot sit that long. I never sit for more than a few minutes. When the pastor goes into that long prayer at the end It's a fight to the death to remain conscious.

I hear you. Pretty much the best I can do is try to keep my eyes open, but that doesn't always work. I suppose I spend less time asleep and more time in a half-conscious state, trying to stay awake lol. I'm not proud of it, but there really isn't much I can do about it.

I have realized though, that chewing a piece of gum seems to help me a little. Maybe it gets blood flowing to the brain or something.

The doctor recommended that to me years ago. It is usually my go-to when my ears need to pop but won't do so easily as well.

I grew up Catholic. Midnight mass was 6 hours long! Then when I converted to a Church of Christ. and people complained about long church services (about an hour) I be like SMH! I said at least your services are in English.

Haha! I've been Baptist my entire life, so I never had services quite That long. But for sure, I can imagine the change you encountered!
