Nice deflection but OP has a point. Stress is a part of life as is certain adversities. Universities USED to be a place of conflicting views where sunlight isthe best disinfectant and debate was allowed.

It still is, but you still have to put together your arguments well and critically evaluate your sources - and this isn't the first time I've told you, that's something you are particularly bad at. So you wouldn't be in the faculty that fixes the issue, either.

Maybe the school you teach at is one of the few unicorns these days that doesn't make conservative students literally afraid to express their opinions, we wouldn't know, without knowing which school it is. Although I'm sure if it is, you're working hard to change that.

News flash for you, nobody who actually wants a real world problem solved, would nominate a professor to solve the issue. How about 'nominating' someone who's actually solved a real world problem, instead of someone who has likely gotten by with nothing more than tenure, and living in the bubble of academia?
