I'd prefer a Communist over Trump any day of the week. Except on Sunday. There I might contend myself with a Green or a Social Democrat. In all seriousness though, just because she worked as the Culture Minister for the DDR doesn't make her a Communist. At worst a Socialist. I mean if she were she should have joined a more left oriented party than the CDU. I have also yet to see, and probably won't, her trying to implement Communist policies. -<>- She was a good Chancellor, sure she had some turbulence at the end a bit, but still, and with her retirement in 2021 an Era im German History comes to a close.
