CO2 is not a poison. You breathe it every day. Concentration changes things, just as your ricin example uses a toxic dosage level. At 5000 ppm CO2 causes headaches, sleepiness, poor concentration, loss of attention, increased heart rate and slight nausea. 400 ppm is not life threatening, in fact it enhances plant life. And the geologic record shows that during one of the most dynamic periods for life, the Mesozoic, CO2 rates were higher than 2000 ppm. To say CO2 has never been higher is to ignore reality from 66-250 million year ago. To say the earth cannot survive increased CO2 is a lie. Plain and simple. 40,000 ppm- 10,000 times the current atmospheric readings of CO2 may lead to brain damage and death.
