This may shock you, but I think it should be legal too. I just happen to think it should be a very serious consideration, with significant, /objective/ counseling.
Unless there are major concerns involved, such as the child is an actual threat to the mother's life, is the product of a rape (/real/ rape, not ridiculous BS like "regret=rape" or "both were drunk so he raped her"), or will be born so severely deformed that it won't have any appreciable quality of life. In cases like those, the abortion should be allowed immediately, if the mother so chooses.
It should /not/ be used as a form of late stage contraception by women who didn't want to use a condom or who just want to still look good in a bikini come summer. And they should /not/ go to an abortion mill like planned parenthood for either the counseling or the procedure.
As I've noted before, PP only wants the fetal tissue to sell to research labs, and thus they have abortion quotas to fill. True, they offer some other services, but that's just to give themselves some legitimacy. The counsel they would give pregnant women is highly suspect. I'd wager they "counsel" women about all the problems they'll face, gaslight them about how relying on the father to help is a mistake, and tell them how much easier it would be to just abort. And I'm fairly certain a case could be made for conflict of interest.
PP may have started out as what they claim to be, but if it did, it's not any more. Let them keep offering all the other services that aren't in conflict, but let the women go elsewhere for the counseling and abortion procedure.
