So, here's a question: How did you start your Signs Week thing? I know you're really popular, so people see your content, but what did you do to start it?

Whenever someone is planning on hosting an event, usually event memes will be submitted a few days before, to raise awareness that the event is coming up and explain what tags to use so your memes will be found easily etc. But this whole signs thing honestly just happened from DaBoilsMeAvery replying to my comment, randomly saying he wanted to do a stupid signs week and wanted to do it now 😆 so i just posted the first one long with him and it’s took off more than I ever thought it could.

I am always interested in helping people on here If I have the time etc. I wouldn’t host another event myself for a few weeks, as I’ve just hosted another not 2 weeks ago lol, so have been on here an awful lot, creating my own or finding others memes.
I am happy to help give you ideas or explain any ways in which you can generate interest in the event, I can even post memes promoting it a few days beforehand.
I notice you’ve not been on here too long, are there any other users already you know, who may like to host/Co host and event with you?
A Spongebob week 29th April to 5th May is the next one I know of.
You can even do a theme weekend which is less taxing than a whole week.

I agree it would be smart to wait, both for your reason and because I've only been on imgflip about a week. Also, this is my 1st meme on the top page, but I've had a gif on the top page before.

I’d already upvoted it 👍 also a heads up, when someone upvotes your comment you get 30 points each time, so it’s considered “good etiquette” on here to return the upvote for others comments on your memes or replies to you. Some users will call you out for this harshly and even stop interacting with you if you don’t do it. If you plan on sticking around for a bit it’s normally good to just get into the habit lol.

Yeah :). I have a question: Is your account free or premium? Because I didn't know premium was a thing until just now, I was making a gif and it said I need premium to make more than 1 text boxes...

I have paid for a months subscription and cancelled it so it doesn’t automatically renew. I only find it helps as you say, with making higher quality gifs (you can set them to a higher resolution also) and a minor thing which is the ability to remove the IMGflip watermark from the bottom left corner of memes, sometimes I remove it because it’s covering some of the wording lol. Also I’m replying to an earlier comment you made as when you’ve had 10 comments between you in the “thread” of comments, you’re not able to reply to the last red comment.

A few years ago in my home county we had a billboard sign which read, "COMING SOON".

We had so many local memes here saying things like, "Coming soon, what is coming soon, Jesus, the apocalypse, higher taxes, what?"
