Thank you for the links. That is something I did not know and am shocked that the numbers are so high.

While the question was in reference to terrorists specifically and not just in general, I am appalled that anyone would find torture acceptable for any reason.

I was also surprised that 48% of the general public, Christian and non-christian, found it acceptable as well when dealing with terrorists. While I am not a Christian or religious at all, I do not understand how there is not more backlash on this from their churches. I would think this goes against their fundamental teaching.
