That's a myth, I watched Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagn's Time for Choosing when I was a kid, and I'm ultra right wing by the democrat definition. I have stood up against racism against blacks, Mexicans, Hondurans, Nicaraguans and others all my life- even in grade school- we had one black girl in our class and every Thursday our democrat music teacher had us square dancing. We lined up boy girl in our classroom every week, and I lined up next to my crush, but by the time we got to the music room I was lined up with Tanya at the back of the line- every week. And I held her hand for every do si do, and I bowed to my partner when the little democrat jerk kids in the class refused to bow, and they would reach out for her hand and pull it back at the last second. Then I was stigmatized the rest of the day for having ni**er germs, every week. No one in authority stepped up to do the right thing, no one else in my class stood up and did the right thing, and I couldn't do what they did. And I wish I had done more right things by her. My Dad was a college track coach and I listened to him talking to my mother about restaurants refusing to serve the black athletes on his team in KANSAS, MFing Kansas! And how he would get meals for them out the back door some times and other times he would go to a grocery store to buy them food, WHILE THE DEMOCRAT head coach sat with the white and Hispanic guys and ate steak dinners in the F'ing restaurant time after time after time. So my Dad was a hyper -nationalist who was furious with Juan Carlos at the 68 Olympics and his f'ing raised fist, and he cheered George Foreman when he wrapped the American flag around himself, and he cried when MLK was killed. And he was a populist. So shove your quaint little euphemisms up your a$$ for an effective suppository of bitterness. You are an ignorant pompous f'ck. And I'm stupid.

the factors,both social and economic that precipitate a more and more hyper-partisan body politic can already be seen,in real time.

trump supporters feeling persecuted.
progressives afraid to speak freely.
people afrad,in general,to even share their thoughts or feelings in regards to poltics.
these are all very concerning indicators.

we are seeing a rise in radical protests,both left and right.
we are seeing some people become so hyper-partisan that they are actually murdering people en masse,for an IDEA.

we are seeing a resurgence of white nationalism.
which is,predictibly,creating a new black panther counterpoint.

so when I say hyper-nationalism.i am not talking about you or your dad.
I am talking about those knuckleheads on Charlottesville,and the nutjob in Pittsburgh.

when I say ultra-rightwing populism.

I am not talking about you supporting trump.
I am talking the constant barrage of racism,fear and demagoguery that plays out on talk radio,24/7.

I am pointing to the ever increasing political divide I am witnessing in my country,as people disconnect,stare at their phones and get their opinions from some pretty questionable,and detestable people.

I have nothing against any of you personally but I disagree vehemently with a lot of the sentiments expressed here.
