Seems to me, if he wanted to show who the bad guys were, he wouldn’t have threatened the finances and livelihood of middle class government workers.

LOL Democrats decided that not giving him his wall was worth more than the jobs of those government workers AND worth more than the money involved - the government lost more money because of the shutdown than the wall would have cost under the deal offered. Democrats have forgotten that the country is built on compromise, any offer they get is automatically a no-go just because it's from a republican. They're a joke and they've betrayed their oaths of office.

Democrats, Republicans, and the President already had agreed to sign off on the bill before Christmas 2018. At the last second, the President changed his mind and threw the country into turmoil. Instead of bringing it up as an issue the moment the new Democrats and Republicans were sworn into office, he chose to disrupt the government and make things difficult. There were better ways the President could've handled this. He had no plan, no backup, and no idea of the consequences his actions would take. The only person who is a joke and betrayed their oath of office is the President. (And arguably Mitch McConnell for being a little turtle bitch instead of holding the President accountable.) He cemented their need to remove him since he has no idea what he's doing.

Please. The democrats are holding the government hostage over pocket change, and you actually have the gall to blame the president? The same democrats that are blocking it simply because of whose mouth it came from are the same democrats who just a few short years ago THEMSELVES gave speeches and voted for bills involving border walls. They have completely abandoned what integrity they had in order to pander to the radicals in our nation. You seem like you may be one of them.

I don't recall the Democrats threatening to close the government for not getting what they want. I have the gall, the evidence, and the fact to blame the President. A President who wants to build a border wall that just a few short years ago was already voted for and built by Democrats. You never believed in the Democratic Party's integrity from the start of Obama's first term. You seem like a liberal who is for big government.

Big government that thinks 5.7 billion is pocket change, big government that decides who we get to marry, big government that decides who gets to fight for us, big government that wants to control women's rights, big government that wants to spend and waste money instead of being like a good little frugal conservative like me who only wants to spend money on things that actually work. Like guns, trucks, people and drones.

And so what if I am ONE OF THEM. I'm not. But I don't recall being a person who votes Democrat to be anything other than a f**king American.

I voted for Obama his first term, I just came to my senses about how far the party has fallen and what the results of their policies are.

Nice. I didn't vote for Obama or anyone in 2012 either. I did not vote for Trump because he's an idiot. And anyone who can't see that MIGHT be an idiot as well. It seems to me you might NOT be an idiot if you were not stupid enough to vote for Obama the second time around like me.

Trump is a bit of an idiot. However, he's doing things which past presidents should have done years ago - how did it take 70 years to even ATTEMPT peace negotiations with North Korea? Why is it that we waited 17 years to talk to the Taliban? These are serious issues that cost billions of dollars and cost american lives, and Trump is the first one that seems to be actively trying to achieve peace rather than just keep on with the status quo. We've got kids graduating high school and getting ready to enter the military now that weren't even born when we first invaded Afghanistan.

Calling for increased contributions from NATO members means that the US is doing less of the heavy lifting, and doesn't need to do as much spending for defense. What isn't to like? The alliance as it stands benefits Europe, but not us. If Russia invades them, we jump in full force to save them. If something happens to the US, do you really believe they'll return the favor?

Considering the amount of money we spend on OTHER nations, 5.7 billion IS pocket change when it's to be spent on US.

First of all, thank you for calling Donald Trump an idiot.

On, Korea the situation has been tried and failed for 70 years because North Korea does the same thing over and over again with each new President. Each President has become more and more about tough love until Donald Trump who started off with doubling down on that tough love, then proceeds to suck up to North Korea's leader. Unfortunately, we're just going to have to see how that goes but between Donald Trump not listening to what his Intelligence Agencies and North Korea's usual "We're totally not lying to you until you catch us lying to you" it's probably going to play out like it has for the last 70 years and I have no confidence in an idiot seeing it through.

The Middle East is... a very complicated thing. I cannot possibly go into great detail about it because I don't understand all facets of it. To boil it down to the simplest terms, there are a lot of factions still warring over land, religion, and human rights. And everyone in the First World wants a piece of their pie so they are constantly stuck in a constant state of war.

Again, I don't trust an idiot who think he can fix everything in 4 years, let alone 8. His policy of America First should also apply to these countries. If he wants to cut the cost of aid to countries that are constantly warring with us, fine. He isn't doing that though. He's cutting aid to countries that have been our allies, putting tariffs on our allies, and even if his policy works in the short term, it may have devastating long term effects for decades to come.

I actually agree with Trump on NATO, which makes me think that somebody else is pulling his strings because, again he's an idiot. I would rather THAT person be in charge rather than Donald Trump but he was either too skeezy (More than Donald Trump? YEEEESH!) to run for the office himself, or he didn't want the responsibility. Which is not a GOOD thing to have in a secret leader.

Russia's endgame isn't to invade. Russia will take back the countries that were ex-Soviet Union and we'll do nothing. Russia will, however, watch the situation unfold in Afghanistan, Syria, Venezuela, and so on and continue to paint us as the new Imperialistic Assholes that the Axis Powers was which has been Russia's modus operandi since Putin took office. Thats why no one will return the favor.

And I wouldn't trust Donald Trump with 5.7 billion dollars no matter how you spend it.

He also probably shouldn't have decided to own it. But I guess to be fair he did try and blame Dems a week after saying he wouldn't blame them.
xD

All he has to do is lay out a proposal. He moves the goalposts too often to trust.
