No, they don't. But if condoms broke that often the manufacturers wouldn't stay in business, and most of the articles I have read attribute condom failure to users failing to use as directed. And if all the abortions that occur are due to rape, we've got a bigger problem.

Poking holes in the condom is the most commonly suggested tactic to women who go on forums to ask about the best way to trick their partner into getting them pregnant. All so that they can claim innocence, that the condom must have broken, and that the pregnancy was a "happy accident"

It's also surprising how many people don't know that you have to squeeze the air out of the tip. Failing to do so can lead to the condom breaking...so really, user error. The idea that something so elastic is so prone to failure that we need abortion is absurd. I've also heard cases where women "on the pill" skip certain days or only take it when they are ovulating, reducing its effectiveness.

Without question. Theoretically, I think that abortion should be available as a choice in the case of rape. No one should be forced to live with a daily reminder of the worst exp erience of their lives, and what kind of life is that for the child? However, in practice, this would likely result in a dramatic increase of reported rapes, just like the reported contraception failures.
