Conservatives see capitalistic value in clean energy solutions. We just don't call for government interference and higher taxes for every problem that comes up.

Fund perpetual warfare? Who is flipping out right now because a republican president is bringing our troops home? What party was in power when vietnam started and what party was in power when we pulled out? What party was in power when Korea started and what party was in power when the armistice was signed? Which party declared war in both world wars? How about Bosnia or Somalia? Republicans historically have been peacemakers and ACTUALLY worked towards bringing our troops home. Democrats historically have started FAR more wars than they've ended. Actually.. I can't think of a SINGLE republican war that was ended by a democrat.

Wow. That is interesting. As for funding, in my lifetime, republicans have funded more warfare. Bush put us in this middle east war. Trump is taking us out of some.

Bush put us in Afghanistan and Iraq only, Syria was Obama's doing. So you're partially right there. Obama was in office for 8 years, promised on the campaign trail to pull us out of Afghanistan and Iraq, and yet.. we are still there. If he'd wanted to end our involvement in those wars, it was well within his power. Most of our allies pulled out during his term, yet there we remain.

And as far as "Bush put us in this middle east war".. We were attacked, and thousands of americans died. EVERYONE wanted war. You might not have been born or too young to remember, but the country as a whole wanted blood.

Afghanistan was not Bush's war, it was America's war. It is just one we no longer need to continue to fight. Iraq was horseshit from the start, and Bush can own that one. But of the three middle-eastern wars.. only one is republican owned.
Oh, and don't forget Obama's little "intervention" in Libya. At least that one didn't last, though.

Technically Trump is the most popular republican politician. Or do you forget that he won the republican primary over jeb and a whole field of other contenders? There's no "trump stole the primary" controversy similar to Hills and Bernie. He's mainstream now, even if he wasn't four years ago.
