Why is the Trump Foundation going to dissolve?

The article doesn't go into detail. I'll wait for something other than CNN to report on it before I come to a conclusion. It looks like it was a NY Court. No bias there.

1.7 million dollar charity. Lol.

I'll say this, it isn't the first time the establishment has pointed the finger at the Trumps when Hillary gets busted for something. Remember the Ivanka emails? Big difference between the way those two ladies handled the situation. I've got a feeling I'm about to see something similar here.

Two sides to every coin. Looks like CNN is fake news after all. GG noob.

“Contrary to the NYAG’s misleading statement issued earlier today, the Foundation has been seeking to dissolve and distribute its remaining assets to worthwhile charitable causes since Donald J. Trump’s victory in the 2016 Presidential election," Futerfas said in a statement to Fox News. "Unfortunately, the NYAG sought to prevent dissolution for almost two years, thereby depriving those most in need of nearly $1.7 million. Over the past decade, the Foundation is proud to have distributed approximately $19 million, including $8.25 million of the President’s personal money, to over 700 different charitable organizations with virtually zero expenses. The NYAG’s inaccurate statement of this morning is a further attempt to politicize this matter.”

"Underwood took over the investigation into the organization in May, after Schneiderman stepped down following the publication of a damning report by The New Yorker, detailing four women’s claims that he had repeatedly hit them, threatened them and demeaned them. The graphic accusations included choking a former girlfriend and demanding another, who was born in Sri Lanka and whom Schneiderman reportedly referred to as his “brown slave,” call him “Master.”

The Manhattan District Attorney opened an investigation into Schneiderman following the explosive report that prompted his stunning fall from grace."

LOL that long winded quote is from the attorney FOR the Trump Foundation. Of course they are gonna say they are benevolent. The problem is this was an investigation (with actual proof) and the court decided they way it did and the foundation NOW is dissolving.

Go a little earlier in that article FROM FOX NEWS:
“Our petition detailed a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation – including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more,” Underwood said in a statement Tuesday. “This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests.”

Sounds like they're referring to things like the portrait I've already discussed in this thread. Hard to take it seriously when I've already proven multiple accusations to be bull shit.

I'm sure a few people are capable of understanding facts. Cohen stuff, No crime. Portrait stuff, No crime. Ivanka emails, the correct way to handle a mistake so it doesn't become a crime.

Trump himself proved buying the painting was wrong. The foundation even admitted it was wrong. He gave the painting up when confronted, because he had to. In just today, the judge suggested Flynn could be tried for treason and, "sold his country out". Oh, but let's talk about Hillary.

Now it seems that the Trump Foundation, or at least its tax people, are admitting to some wrongdoing. The term for using a charity's money or assets to benefit the people running the charity or behind the charity is "self-dealing," and in a new 2015 tax form, found by none other than David Fahrenthold, the Trump Foundation admits to self-dealing.
In one section of the form, the IRS asked if the Trump Foundation had transferred “income or assets to a disqualified person.” A disqualified person, in this context, might be Trump — the foundation’s president — or a member of his family, or a Trump-owned business.
The foundation checked “yes.”
Another line on the form asked if the Trump Foundation had engaged in any acts of self-dealing in prior years. The Trump Foundation checked “yes” again.

I haven't heard of any life size paintings of the Clintons, purchased by the foundation. Are they under investigation still/too?

Before you start flinging bullshit you might want to do a little research.

The painting was bought at a Fundraiser using Trump Foundation money. They had an artist that painted Trump and then they auctioned off the painting. All the money went to an organization called Homesafe:
https://www.helphomesafe.org/who-we-are/history

Good cause. Philanthropy even. He had his wife buy a painting of himself that Someone Else had already bid on and then, out of generosity, had Melania double the price of her bid from $10,000 to $20,000. IT WAS CHARITY! Exactly what you'd expect money from a Non Profit charity to be spent on!

Idiot.

I'm not the one slinging BS. The AG contends the purchase was improper self-dealing. Paying 10k in charity funds out of the full price of 20k, giving the money to another charity AND KEEPING THE PAINTING, somehow makes it okay? Maybe next time he should buy an exotic car for half price. At least he'd be able to drive that.

That was just one of six transactions under investigation. Along with possible campaign finance violations committed by the foundation. Just sayin. Sorry, not the one who brought it up.

You're flinging around more BS. Scroll down that article. They actually have a copy of the check for the full $20,000. Trump bought a Trump painting at an auction with money from the Trump foundation. He put it in a Trump building. He outbid someones meager offer and then doubled it for kindness's sake to help fund the organization he was donating to. Give the guy a f**king break. Where else was he going to put the thing?

The money went to an organization that does hands on work, not just funding. Big difference. My gf just secured a million dollar donation from some Celebrity's Foundation to her non profit organization that helps illegal immigrant children. THAT'S HOW FOUNDATIONS WORK. Learn about things before you start throwing around 'opinions' recklessly.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/former-fec-chair-cohen-pleaded-guilty-to-charges-that-are-not-crimes_2630891.html

"Michael Cohen, formerly an attorney for President Donald Trump, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to campaign finance charges THAT ARE NOT CRIMES, according to former Federal Elections Commission chair Bradley Smith."

The FBI sure is good at getting confessions from innocent people. I wonder how they do it...

Face it. Everything they are investigating Trump for is a joke. Just like your arguments which have been spoon fed to you by 'them'.

I see. So Trump needs to be given a break on his 6 investigations but Hillary is going to jail soon. It's nice to see you're non-partisan.

Where would you put the painting? All he did was help abused children.

All Hillary did was betray her country, and much worse.

Again, HE DID NOTHING ILLEGAL! It's just bullshit manipulation by the Fake News.

Example:
Non disclosure agreement = hush money; according to fake news.

People now believe paying pornstars to shut up is a crime. WRONG! Not illegal at all! Why do you think Stormy has to pay Trump a few hundred thousand dollars? She broke the LEGAL agreement.

The former Federal Election Committee Chairman has already publicly stated and explained that Cohen did not commit a crime. He literally pled guilty to something that wasn't a crime because the FBI threatened him.

You should stop talking to me. You're not on my level. Go grind for the truth and come back.

You must be a Russian. You're either a Russian or just stupid. Lying to Congress has always been illegal. Campaign finance violations and tax fraud isn't illegal?
Yeah, either Russian or just stupid. Either way, it's bad.
As far as the painting, he could put it up his ass or up yours as far as I'm concerned. He just can't keep it without stealing from his "non-profit" foundation. Again, either Russian or just stupid.

I told you to stop talking to me. I've already given you the facts to disprove this argument. No matter what the media has trianed you to believe, saying the same fallacies over and over does not make them true.

I'll say it more plainly for you:
You're too stupid to talk to me. Go away.

Maybe you have that much control and power in your mother land. You don't have it here.

Few people could be so blindly ignorant and so partisan, a hack at your level, to post the garbage you do, without some ulterior motive. You telling me to go away, makes you look fearful that I've blown your cover.

I'll go away when I'm damn well ready to.

I'm not liberal. I'm American. There is no point in labeling and dividing, other than to support your Russian friends. Way to stick up for your comrade.

Just what does technology have to do with this discussion? Report out today says that the Russians infiltrated virtually every form of social media to help message and push Trump into office. Hundreds of millions of views by Americans. They have only increased involvement since the election, posting the very same type of garbage you're defending. Keep up the good work.

Because of the naive hope that there can't possibly be this many Americans who are this honestly stupid and so gleefully willing to throw what America is away.

That and the fact that IRA bot/shill/trolls are a known fact.
