I am being serious yet when I read my comment, I realized that I was being a bit dramatic:(

I really don't see what benefit separating the streams accomplished. It doesn't stop fights. It doesn't make imgflip easier to use, or more fun.

The one potential benefit is maybe certain memes are easier to find (eg if you're looking for something to post on another site), but since there was already a Search function, that's pretty moot.

But apart from that, it seems like they made the site more convoluted, more difficult to use, and more prone to users flagging stuff from other users for being in the "wrong stream" (just ridiculous), all because a vocal minority couldn't just scroll past memes they disliked, like everyone else was doing.

TL;DR - I miss the 'old' imgflip. I hope they revert it to how it was before (3 submissions a day - everything in one stream).

I read the whole thing and agree. Which is why I don't comment as much as I used to. I also find it frustrating that the other streams outside of the fun stream don't get viewed much. A successful meme in politics will have about 500 views and no more than 60-70 upvotes. It's the equivalent to "NSFW."
