LOLz, i was about to reply when i decided to look and see if this expert had uploaded a video...here's his analysis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pP-XUqBQJY
feel free to read the comments, i think you'll find they ALL concur with everything i have said here..re. compression and frame rate factors
Note that he mentions "anomalous blurring" as being the main flag here and how it indicates being "slowed down" but also note how this expert omits to tell you that when the frame rate is lowered, there is a function called "interlacing" used which overlays two images into one (causing some blurring) but which is used to give a more realistic look to a video with a lowered frame rate edited in.
when he demonstrates slowing down and speeding up, again he's not telling you that when comparing gif (or edited video with lower frame rate) to raw video you have to account for frame rate. what happens is: the first frames in both videos sync up, for the second frame, the gif/low frame video appears to slow down purely and simply because it is displayed for 2-3 times longer. these actions repeat for consecutive frames throughout....synced, slowed down, synced, slowed down....the video does NOT speed up, it SYNCS up
Also, his final analysis..."so that it would appear that he was being a lot more aggressive then he actually was...he was simply turning away"
"more aggressive than he actually was" deflecting from acostas agressive behaviour with allegations of video editing, says it all really. if he had any video evidence that acosta was simply "turning away", why not simply show this in the analysis to absolve acosta of any wrong doing?
I started working with video and editing software (and animated gifs) 20 years ago and while I certainly wouldn't classify myself as an expert as this guy does, I know this expert is full of shit, not for what he says, but for what he doesn't say!.... and i suspect his business will take a hit over this.
