Where and when did ANY democrat say they want open borders?

Keith Ellison, Democratic National Committee deputy chairman, for one. He even wore a t-shirt that read "yo no creo en fronteras,” which in English translates into “I do not believe in borders.”

There is also a Harvard poll which shows that 36% of Democrats want open borders.

I was looking for more prominent Democrats/liberals in government like the one in the meme.

That harvard Harris Poll is 229 pages long. No way I am sifting through that.

Here is a web page that explaining the conservative (Libertarian) point of view on open borders: https://openborders.info/libertarian/

Personally I think we need strong borders, but with reasonable immigration processes and procedures (work visas etc) with a path to citizenship.

However I think a "wall" is a complete red herring distraction. But hey- if Mexico pays for it....have at it. I don;t want OUR tax money going to it. It's a money grab for the construction contractor friends of Trump. Fortifying what is there is enough.

I would think that Ellison being a congressmen and the DNC chairmen makes him pretty prominent. Besides, we have seen that Democrats, as Hillary has said, like to have "Two positions", a public and private one. If it weren't that they would be destroyed at the polls, more be open about it.

While libertarians and conservatives do share many of the same policies, I would not put them together on the open border issue.

I have also found that there is a difference between small "L" libertarians and the Libertarian Party platform.

As far as a wall, I think one is absolutely needed. In September 2018 there were 41,486 apprehensions made at the border and DHS admits it only catches about half of those crossing. So no, what we have today is insufficient.

Both major parties are losing members, but if it wasn't for these tactics, Republicans - who have been losing far more - would lose elections in all but the most poor rural areas.

You are correct up till 2016.

According to Pew Research in 2016 the Democrats had a 32% to 29% advantage over the Republicans (but they still lost in the election). However, a survey in May 2018 showed this gap to be 30% to 29%. The Democrats have lost registered voters, mostly to unaffiliated or independent.

This doesn't count a large number of moderate Democrats that have said they can no longer support the far left trend and the tactics of the Democrats now. I think the Kavanaugh debacle and the mob mentality seen in the media has turned off many moderates.

While I don't know if these moderate Democrats will vote Republican, it will still hurt the Dems if don't vote at all.

According to the polls, the Republicans are way ahead of the Democrats in early and mail-in voting.

Most polls now show that the Dems will not win the Senate and may lose some seats. They are also saying the Dems may not win the House as well.

You're talking polls, and we know how those bear out.

I'm talking registered party members.

In 2016, Hillary did got 3 million more votes then Trump. Trump got just as many votes as Romney. Hillary lost to herself.

Not many moderates from either party favor Kavanaugh.
The mob mentality from the alt right has turned people off

Registered? Yeah, cause the AP just reported that the Democrats in Texas as registering non-citizens. They just sentenced a non-citizen to 8 years in jail.

As far a Kavanaugh, some people may not like his policies, but many many more thought the smear campaign by the Dems was pathetic and gross. The whole guilty by unverified accusation turned a lot of people off the Democrats.

People are getting sick of the regressive left policies of the Dems. #WalkAway

Registrations were being sent to non citizens with "citizen" checked off, and it was those very people who reported it. It's still being investigated, and nothing about anyone sentenced for it.

If anything, it entrenched sides more. The negative ratings for Kavanaugh were high and kept increasing.
This may come a surprise to many, but not only feminazis like abortions.

Regressive and leftist are opposites.
