And you have to have $1-2,000 to put in a CD before you even get 2%. Smaller savings accounts pay less than 1%.

Yeah, that's why 69% of Americans have less than $1000 in savings accounts. We've been conditioned to not use them.

Fun fact, it used to be illegal to loan money at more than 10% interest, it was called "loan sharking" or legally "racketeering"

My cousin lives down in Maryland told me that a few years back they outlawed payday loans because they considered it "predatory lending." What the hell do you call high interest credit cards?

Cash back credit card companies hate me. I use them for almost everything. Have never paid any interest . . . They pay me :)

Um, hate to mention it, but they still get the 2.5% from the vendor you bought stuff from on every purchase. The worst thing you can do, is just stop buying stuff.
