Yes, God is a "he" in the sense that the Bible (the true written word of God) mentions Him as a "he." He isn't a human being, so our brains register "he" as a human man. Jesus is the Son of God and He came to Earth born as a man.

I'm not telling you that you need to believe what I believe and I am not going to continue talking about this on a meme that isn't mine and has nothing to do with religion. But no one said you need to do anything. It's your choice whether you believe in a higher power or not.

laonsite replied to his comment, and Spurs then replied to him. To which laonsite then clarified his was an accident since the comment was meant for another memer.

Mind you, that concerned this comment, which was along the lines of what I had been thinking of posting (adding the aspect of historical context) before I saw his comment:

So does the rest of humanity since, well, they evolved. Even going back to when microbes began feeding on other microbes, or just consuming non living material - the activity of life is destructive.

What does that have to do with her belief? Other than her faith giving people cause to refrain from engaging in excessive and unnecassary destruction?

To claim only Christianity was/is bloody is a purposely deluded denial, and (intentionally) naive defelection.

The "fossils" were found after Darwin postulated on their existence in the 19th century. No one has been allowed to see the actual "fossils". You can only see a sculpted "reproduction" in museums. The only people who "found" these "fossils" were the ones that had a vested interest in finding them.

Being afraid of them killing you for suspected witchcraft is like being scared that the pope is going to crucify you. It's not an honest fear. In the last century, the Red Cross or aid groups have been significantly more emblematic of the religion than say.. the inquisition. Or should native americans and current white americans still be afraid they're going to scalp each other even though it hasn't happened in decades and decades?

God created the entire earth, which includes Australia. He also created everything on the earth, so the kangaroos would have been created in Australia, which is considered their natural habitat; kangaroos are indigenous to Australia. The Bible says that the Lord brought the animals to Noah, so they wouldn't have had to migrate on foot all the way. He could've carried them to the ark Himself, or have His angels gather specimens of all of the animals from the four corners of the earth and carry them there. The article below estimates 75 years maximum to build the ark, so even if the animals were just herded there by God and/or His angels, that should give them plenty of time to get there on foot.

The Bible does not specifically state that the animals were all over the world. It does say they were named by Adam, so at least at first they were all in the some general area. I think they spread out when the people did, after the Flood. (More specifically the Tower of Babel.

You just complained in another comment that I don't have scientific explanations or proof, so which is it? The Bible says He BROUGHT them there, but doesn't go into detail to explain HOW He brought them there. The Bible doesn't say that God spoke a word and they just appeared in front of Noah. That's different from being "brought" there.
Also, a world-wide flood would've wiped out evidence.

Afterword
I would like to clarify my position on the creation-evolution controversy and my reasons for researching and reporting on the Paluxy evidence.

I prefer not to be labeled a creationist or an evolutionist, since I do not fully identify with all of the tenets often assumed to typify each camp. I am a Christian and believe in the Creator but have not yet formed definite conclusions about some aspects of the origins controversy, such as the exact age of the earth or the limits to biological change. However, on some issues that I have studied in depth, such as the Paluxy controversy, I have formed definite conclusions, as explained in this article. I chose to publish my research in Creation/Evolution not to attack creationism but to help set the record straight on the true nature of the Paluxy evidence.

But it has been, and more rapidly than thought.

From Darwin finches blown on a Galapagos isle a few years ago they had not been prior evolving thicker beaks to eat harder seeds there in just a few generations, to anoles left on a few tiny uninhabited Bahama isles to study population pressures without predators in the 1980s which consequently evolved in a few years to adapt to local conditions. The ones on more windswept islands with less shrubs - shorter limbs, the ones with more cover and less wind - longer limbs.
The same has been observed with flying dragon lizards in the Phillipines, but with the eons of years to turn them into new species. Those on windier small islands have shorter limbes and shorter rib & membranes. This makes is less likeley for them to get blown into the water or rocks, etc.

Ocean going steamer ducks are fully capable of flight, which one third do do. Another third do but rarely, and the rest never do at all.

Speaking of thirds, same goes for the human female's orgasm - 1/3 easily, 1/3 on occasion, aand 1/3 never, no matter how much effort put into that.

Now why would an intelligent designer design something like that?
1 up, 7y,

So where is the change from species to species again? And why can’t I get a simple answer on what a “common ancestor” is?...
2 ups, 7y,

[image deleted] There is no simple common ancestor, since evolution isn't a simple "ancestor diverges into proto chimp and australopithecine." Yup, not a mere "Lucy is the missing link" since evolution is a series of gradually E-V-O-L-V-I-N-G changes, not a species change op at the hospital.

Wanna see evolution? Whistle. When your Yorkie comes running, take a close look, because the Bible says he does not exist (some 'and none shall come to pass nor come to be' line re: species).

Okay, maybe the word species is not the right word. There may be many species of wolves, and species of dogs, but they are all in the canine family. An ape is not a monkey, but aren’t they in the same family, or kind? That’s the classification I’m talking about. Like in the hominid tree you posted, what was the transitional “family” or “kind” that evolved into a hominid? I’m really trying to understand how you guys think on this.

1 up, 7y
Oh, you’re right, that was iaonsite. Anyway, I’m just trying to find out how we got from a fish to a hominid. It’s not like there are any artistic renderings to show how this could have happened. The common image we see of the chimp to man progression is ridiculous if the chimp camefrom another branch entirely. If evolution were true, as in all life forms arising from one-called organisms in the sea, at one point there would have to be a transition from an aquatic animal with fur, (like an otter or beaver), to a land animal which somehow becomes the “common ancestor” which branches off to a chimp and then man. Am I right, or am I missing something here?

It does say a fish evolves into a mammal, and then into a human, correct?

That doesn’t explain how the organisms originated in the first place. If there were sea creatures and land animals appearing simultaneously, without arising from each other, then creation is a better explanation. It can’t be both ways. If land dwelling animals did not originate from those of the sea, how did they get there? Help me to understand this. (And please, don’t post links. If you can’t explain it to me in simple terms, I’m not sure if you fully understand it yourself.)

Okay, I googled it. I did some reading. All I saw were plants evolving into more plants, insects into insects, fish into fish, dogs into dogs. Which is microevolution. If the “theory of evolution, (which is still theory, not fact, as its taught in school), doesn’t say that a bird would evolve into a dog, or vise versa”, what does it say? If it doesn’t mean a jump from one species to another, how did we get from fish to land dwelling mammal, from that to apes, and then apes to man? Observing micro doesn’t prove macro. There should be millions of transitional fossils that prove it, but there’s not. And doesn’t it say that dinosaurs evolved into birds?

Thank you for your detailed response. You make it sound pretty convincing. I see how the world has bought it. (Especially when it comes with the benefit of not having to be accountable to a higher power). But adding “millions of years” that no one has seen, always seems to be the magic ingredient. And fossilization is not a rare occurrence, nor does it take a long period of time to produce.

I know that there are many who believe in God and evolution, but I am just not convinced. I see more evidence for creation, and a loving creator.

To actually be fair, that's moral relativism and complete bullshit.

If you looked into the history of the term and the significance of the insult as it relates to certain groups of people, you would then realize that what I said is not "complete bullshit."

Okay, I actually had the same confusion as grayantimatter, because I knew you were a Christian and didn't think you would say something based on moral relativism. So basically, you are saying that the insult is not worse in its plain meaning, but rather in the implications it carries in our culture?

The history behind the meaning of calling a black person "ape" is why I look at it as being worse of an insult than calling a white person who has spray on tan and orange orangutan.

What is the significance of the insult as it relates to people of predominately Persian decent?

Also, it's still moral relativism, so it's still complete bullshit.

I was referring to Roseanne comparing a black person to an ape. As for insulting the President and calling him an orange orangutan, I don't really care about that. That insult seems to aim more toward his orange-ish appearance and goofy look than his natural skin color.

So it isn't comparative.

Actually, I do find it insulting to be compared to an orangutan. We are all human, not animals. I've been accused of having orange skin myself, btw. Comes from being a ginger with a Texas suntan.
BTW, no one thought VJ was a black person until they looked in up in Wiki...like that's a reliable source...VJ has said she is "Iranian by birth".

Which is why Roseanne said she was a mix of the Muslim Brotherhood and planet of the apes.

And I do understand the Texas suntan as I have lived here since the early 90's.

Yeah, it's a nice little town. I'm blessed to be living here for sure. Some people hate it here, but I think it's mostly the potheads and some of the younger kids that don't like it here.
