I don't think you understand the science if you actually read the original report. (I did). There is no burst of light but I can explain it to you. They used fluoresce to detect the zinc which is released from the egg which can then be detected. It is a fairly standard procedure in science to detect reactions and the products produced. It is like telling your kid if you pee in the public pool there is a dye that will show up in the water, unless you are telling me you believe urine is purple..... read the original study not the ignorant takes on what they think it is telling them or what they are trying to read into it.
