In violent crimes America really supersedes England and Wales into its own class.

In the United States, you are 6.9x more likely to be the victim of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury than in the UK.

You are 4.03x more likely to be murdered than in the UK.

And more staggeringly (though not surprising) you are 35.2x more likely to be shot dead in the Unites States than in the UK

As usual Americans fall for the same old statistical tricks, how the UK and the US record violent crime is different. For example in the UK a mugging is considered a violent crime regardless but in the US it is only considered violent if it results in injury. The UK records all sexual assault as violent crime, however in the US it is only considered a violent crime if it is rape and only of a female. (Sorry guys if you get dicked against your will that is not considered a violent crime in the eyes of the US justice system)

Also, in the US, a rape would be tallied as a rape. In the UK, if, for example, if a knife was used even as just a threat, that counts as another violent crime stat in addition to the rape one.

The accumulated data on violent crime in uk used broader terms and therefore appeared to have "more" violent crime. This is baby food level statistical comparison dude

We don't have Islamic acid attacks, not as many Islamic bombings and car attacks. Not to mention the knife attacks and other blunt objects.
