100% True my friend. These people making a big deal about saying "Happy Holidays" are total f**king morons! And the sad thing is that a lot of these people are from the Millennial, and Generation Z gens. Don't get me wrong SJWS are very annoying, but these kids becoming conservative, just because of modern feminists, could lead to bad things. Like Religion rising in this country again, which could be very bad, for progress.

People say "Happy Holidays" because there are more holidays this time of year than just Christmas. All the bronze age astrocults have a winter solstice holiday which is the point of saying "Happy Holidays."

Really? Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan just to name a few. Hanukkah I might add has been celebrated since before "Christ" was "born."

How many people do you estimate believe in Judaism and Islam? I'll give you kwanza, but many people celebrate both Christmas and kwanza.

There are over a billion muslims on earth making them the 2nd largest religion on earth and also the fastest growing. There are only about 15 million Jews worldwide but as I said, they have been celebrating Hanukkah a lot longer than anyone has been celebrating Christmas. So to answer your question over 1.01 Billion

And if you're "giving me" Kwanza over Judaism and Islam you shouldn't because it's a distant 4th behind the other religions I mentioned.

Forgot to mention the in the US part. Sorry,i understand it changed the whole meaning of what I said.

As many as 8 million Jews in the US. The US has more Jewish citizens than Israel. As far as Muslims we have around 3.3 million. Put them together and you have as many as 11.5 million people just in those two religions. Not an insignificant number.

Less than 1/33 of America is fairly small for such a big deal.

That's 3% of the population if you were wondering

No... there are only 14 million Jews worldwide... No idea where you got that number.
2 ups, 6y
Because of this argument, I googled it (curiosity, I don't really care). Estimates vary between 14.3 million to just over 15 million. So nowhere near a billion.

No kidding. That's nuts.

Some random google link

Stop being silly. You know that number is complete bull. I mean, for Jews.

It does come close to the number of Hindus (1.15 billion), which I suspect you got the number from some years ago.
1 up, 6y
Approximately 2 billion people are Muslim... It's only slightly smaller than Christianity.

You have got to be kidding, right? There are all the variations of winter solstice celebrations. (Most of what you consider Christmas traditions were hijacked from pagan solstice celebrations that pre-date Christianity). New Years is a secular celebration which celebrates a mere calendar flip.
If you are not kidding, that is blatant willful ignorance on your part.

fair, but origins and modern senses are still different, and "holidays" includes others besides just one narrow one

There were actually several pagan holidays that the Catholic Church tried to accommodate when it created Christmas, in order to convert them. Although "pagan" they were "religious" in nature. You assume much, and know little. You're welcome

And Inuits still live in Alaska and Native Hawaiians still live in Hawaii... As much as this country is trying to pretend this country's indigenous peoples don't exist....

I bet that there are at least a thousand people who celebrate Christmas as the pagan event you refer it to. And besides, America is basically ours.

Pagan event? Not my description of Christmas. You must be confusing me with someone else...

Read the comment I first commented on. I was referring to how Christmas was originally a pagan event and how some people probably celebrate it as such

The date Christians picked to celebrate Christ’s birth may have been based on an existing Pagan celebration, but Christmas was never based on Pagan beliefs.
2 ups, 6y
Not pagan, monotheistic. Mithras, a Zoroastrian sect.

Scroll down for further info.
