I picked out my own engagement/wedding ring it was less than $15. The most expensive piece of jewlry my husband has bought me was $30 (it was a mothers day necklace), and i got mad because st the time we needed groceries a lot more than I needed a stupid bauble.
I like jewlry, it's pretty, but i feel in many cases it's just a waste of money.

I dated a girl once who told me not to even bother proposing unless I had a ring of at least two carats! Needless to say that never became a problem lol.

If that's all she cares about, she's not the one!
