Just call it some kind of "Conservative Con" and book a hotel. Happens all the time.

Edit: AND left wing liberals. They're too rushed towards getting new ideas accepted that they don't have a supporting argument other than the express purpose of getting it done. There should be a balance between them. And no, I'm not talking about food, LOL.

With conservatism and liberalism balanced TOGETHER(not apart), I personally think society would be happier.

You're most likely right. I have noticed that there are attacks during and after such events, however they are directed against the participants, or those perceived as participants. "Brian" was not beaten, just verbally hated on for being perceived as homophobic. I mean no offense to you, but I have received verbal abuse from other girls who accused me of being a hating homophobe. I believe it stemmed from my saying that it was wrong to call my boyfriend the same after they had remarked on his answer of not wanting to marry a trans-girl. I still stand for equality and equal rights for all people and will continue to do so.

The premise is that if two people love each other and they are both consenting adults, no one should care what they do. First cousin marriage is currently legal in about half of the U.S., with almost all allowing unrestricted sexual relation/living together. Since gay marriage is legal in all states, why is it not legal in all states for first cousins, using the same premise used to promote gay marriage?
3 ups, 7y
Isn't the concern over cousins marrying and procreating that the chances are greater for them to have children born with birth defects?

Glad to hear from you. The reason I brought up first cousin marriage is that we have it legal in some states, and not in others. Why should we not have it consistent, i.e. legal or illegal in all states. And if we make it illegal, what about second cousins?

That's the beauty of state's rights as opposed to central government. Marriage in general is a state's right and should not be regulated by the federal government.
4 ups, 7y
It is a HUMAN RIGHT. It predates government.

It requires NO. government interference whatsoever. The history of Marriage is MUCH older than the history of marriage licenses. They also make the STATE a partner in your marriage - and give them a property interest in the union's offspring...

Oh yes, how homophobic for a heterosexual man not to want to marry a "girl" who still has a dick (or even who has had one removed). What the f**k is wrong with people today?

Really? Because it seems to me that the argument among pro-trans people is shifting now into, "if you won't date one, you're transphobic." Note that pureserenity524 and her boyfriend were called "hating homophobes" because he said he wouldn't marry a trans-"girl."
7 ups, 7y
Thanks. I do agree with Octavia though. But there is a trend that some persons are subscribed to where they believe anyone not willing to be romantically involved with a transgender is discriminating, often met with very vocal harassment. I consider this behavior to be as wrong as when homosexuals were harassed for being homosexual. Note that I do not consider or believe everyone to act in this manner.

People are entitled to have their phobias. In their personal life and choices, but not in the workplace or school - to the extent that they affect the rights of others. Hate too.

And people can hate or fear - each other - based on their appraisal of one another. If a chick witb a dick scares you - own it. If you find it distasteful...don't pick up hitchhikers on Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood.

I'm not sure whom you are responding to. Who even knows what exactly you are trying to say. Is saying you're not into trans girls in the workplace or school your idea of affecting the rights of others or spreading hate?

That ACTUALLY appears to be the point of your similarly cognitively-challenged Clone/Alt. That NEITHER of you read or reasob well ...is "A TELL". and then synchronizing the timing of your comments does tend to make one conclude about the (ha!) two of ya.

So he says MEAN.LGBTQ friendly kids make him feel all SQUARE if he doesn't SWING. Well Bullshit. You're both disingeuous sods who are beneath the time it takes me to answer.

Had I realized this was like a comment by IL TRUMPE's imaginary friend ( "Jim" is it - perhaps JimEURoyfice....)...that had managed to "hook" me, into attempting a rational dialogue with an irrational personality fragment...Well I would have stopped myself.

Live and learn.

And to help thos who have yet to meet Messrs MODDA....

Eight Traits of the Disinformationalist
by H. Michael Sweeney <

copyright (c) 1997, 2000 All rights reserved

(Revised April 2000 - formerly SEVEN Traits)

1) Avoidance. They never actually discuss issues head-on or provide constructive input, generally avoiding citation of references or credentials. Rather, they merely imply this, that, and the other. Virtually everything about their presentation implies their authority and expert knowledge in the matter without any further justification for credibility.

2) Selectivity. They tend to pick and choose opponents carefully, either applying the hit-and-run approach against mere commentators supportive of opponents, or focusing heavier attacks on key opponents who are known to directly address issues. Should a commentatorbecome argumentative with any success, the focus will shift to include the commentator as well.

One does not simply label someone as stupid, just because they write you an essay.

Seriously, what's with the "think long think wrong" attitude? Why is that mentality even a thing?? A belief idsn't correct simply because it rhymes. People who can't handle reading through a whole post have a lower IQ, not meaning to insult you. Either that's the case, or you're just offended because what the user above in yellow posted cold hard facts...? In that case, I say the following meme:

[Spock Meme] Disregard emotion. Acquire logic.

AnotherWorldView You're right. I never should have tried to get into all that business. It's none of my business because I'm not paid to mediate websites. It wasn't entirely my fault, though. But I could have redirected him.

I didn't, and that's something I learned from. From now on, I should keep my nose out of people's business and say "Go see a counselor, because it's not my problem."

The purpose of courts is to resolve contoversies. What controversy is being debated?

You want to tell me that Modda and Justin are different a-holes...I suppose that's possible. But I noticed the sequence of folks responses, and timing - because I was online a lot @ the time.

It seemed to me that those 2 were one because of a series of Flame wars, erupting across multiple pages.

Will I call a fool a fool...? Sure - if he comes @ me disrespectfully. Is that my normal posture...? No.

Anyway... I don't see much benefit in refighting old battles.

Perhaps you can clarify.

http://whale.to/m/disin.html

"The more a particular party fits the traits and is guilty of following the rules, the more likely they are a professional disinfo artist with a vested motive."

"A rational person participating as one interested in the truth will evaluate that chain of evidence and conclude either that the links are solid and conclusive, that one or more links are weak and need further development before conclusion can be arrived at, or that one or more links can be broken, usually invalidating (but not necessarily so, if parallel links already exist or can be found, or if a particular link was merely supportive, but not in itself key to) the argument. The game is played by raising issues which either strengthen or weaken (preferably to the point of breaking) these links. It is the job of a disinfo artist to interfere with these evaluations... to at least make people think the links are weak or broken when, in truth, they are not... or to propose alternative solutions leading away from the truth. Often, by simply impeding and slowing down the process through disinformation tactics, a level of victory is assured because apathy increases with time and rhetoric. "

No MODDAVdon't read much...or KNOW much. But he babbles about he a BOSS. And then mentions how he getz off on being a TROLL.

Cool.

People are not entitled to phobias. They are psychologically compelled to. Likewise such neurosis cannot be turned off simply because it's against the rules.

Own it? Heck, the problem is that they own it and then some. A lot some. THAT'S the problem with such bigotry,,,
