I think when people among the far right say things like "you hate your country," they're referring to their own view of what America stands for or should be, rather than the actual opinion of America's reality held by the person they're accusing.

Well there you go, you think voter ID laws have implications of racism and minorities would not be able to deal with it. So I'll ask you, "Haven't voter ID laws changed over time?"
Moreover, liberals are the home for today's "identity politics" which is a postmodernist conception of people as members of groups based on social and linguistical structures. In that view, individuals do not exist, only groups of people is conflict based on patterns of oppression. In stand with the concept of individual rights, not group identities.
