It will never cease to amaze me how much heartfelt compassion I find on this site. I can't think of one of place in the world internet or not, where people who have never met in person are willing to share in each others pain. I've been holding it together for him since I found out and it all just hit me like a ton of bricks on my way home about an hour ago. To log on here and find some comfort truly means a lot :)

Only the older models, those old engines run hot and without proper coolant dispersal all the air still remains circulating between the ears. Which is why it's common to see an overheating unit try to ram it's own head up it's tail pipe ;)

Sorry to hear about anyone losing a best friend or loved one. I too refer to my wife as "not just my wife, but my best friend." Best wishes to all of you.

Thank you, it was just so damn unexpected, she went from having pneumonia to her heart failing from it in literally two days. I should probably explain that my friend is 20 years older than me and I am no spring chicken. I've always had an assorted group of friends because if I meet somebody I get along with then literally nothing else about them matters. Which is lucky for me because he and his lady have been great friends to me for over 20 years. She didn't have any grandchildren from her two kids and since she was like a second mother to me I of course took mine over there as much as I could so I could enjoy all of their faces lighting up together.

I don't think enough people appreciate the vast array of things we can learn from older generations if we take the time to listen. Maybe it's because I'm a writer that I've always been a sucker for a good story. Some things you just can't learn about until it happens to you, unless you are patient enough to listen to another persons life experiences.

But I'm rambling here sorry, I got lost in thought while typing and my fingers always tend to keep going when that happens ;)

When I made this I never expected it to do well at all, heck I submitted it at 2 am thinking nobody would really see it except for those that check out my profile sometimes.
