Seriously, I hope nobody is attacked and that our concerns for the safety of others was overly-cautious, but if one person - ONE PERSON - is killed by someone who came here as a refugee, then I say we were RIGHT!

It has just happened in several European countries , not to mention all the rapes committed by refugee men against women over there.

And your thoughts and finger pointing about the terrorist attacks by your white Christian males, they don't count because why? Oh, ya, you're forgiven...

Hello, nobody. What are you doing commenting on this old, old meme? And with a strawman argument, no less.

Ignoring you from now on.

So this handy infographic was on whitehouse.gov until Trump had it removed. It details the vetting process already in place for refugees coming to the US. No one on the left is suggesting refugees not be vetted; but refusing entry to young children being brought to the US for life-saving surgery is not the way to make people like your country.

I don't think I really owe them an apology, it's not my fault that they live in such a shitty country, and honestly if we're applying that logic, then some random Joe over in the middle east should feel bad for people dying to terrorists in the U.S.

So you don't think that being in favor of a policy that causes someone to get killed, when that death was avoidable, means you have some culpability in that result? YOU MADE IT a "shitty country" by not preventing a KILLER from coming in.

I realize, at this point, that this is hypothetical, and I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. If YOU'RE wrong, you need to own that shit.

I took some time to think about the wording of my comment, and I sound like a douche, I come off as a douche, and I would like to reword my comment. No matter what we choose to do regarding the refugees, people will die, and I have experienced very few deaths in my life, compared to the deaths in the world and the middle east. SO, rather than say I don't give a shit, let me put it like this, I don't understand. I can't understand what is like to have a loved one stuck in a bullshit country full of death and murder and discrimination. But looking at it objectively a choice must be made, and a country has the right to protect it's people before outsiders, do I think that is the correct move? I don't know. But it's the move we as a country have decided to make. Maybe I owe them an apology, maybe they owe me one, but regardless, it's not about what I think. It's about what WE think as a collective.
