I voted for this lying bastard in 2008. He had a majority in the House and Senate and his voter base was expecting some changes in Washington and that he'd clean up the Bush/Cheney trainwreck. He could have been Mount Rushmore material but opted instead to be a defender of business as usual. He pretty much was Bush's 3rd and 4th terms. The Democrats lost their majority in Congress in 2010 because Obama abandoned his base, and his race. The good news is that with Trump we finally have a president with balls and (I hope) integrity; traits that Barry never acquired. Adios Barry. See you at your war crimes trial.

You know, we keep asking for someone to clean up Bush's mess, but Bush really destroyed this country, I think Obama did as best as he could. And even though some things didn't go right with some of his policies, you can't call him a bad president because he did do more good than bad. Also, will be worse with being a "defender of business", A LOT worse.

How much of a threat Bin Laden was is debatable. He was retired and had marfan syndrome. Even his role in 9-11 is highly subject to controversy.

The one that was damaged attempting to land at the Bin Laden raid? No. I don't recall any American casualties, except the Blackhawk itself. There was enough capacity on the other helicopter(s) to carry all the operatives out, along with Bin Laden's body and a few more bodies and/or prisoners. The helicopter was destroyed by the SEALs since it was no longer airworthy and a recovery mission was impractical.

So the Bin Laden raid was carried out by a SEAL team hand-picked by the commander of JSOC from Red Squadron, chosen because they were coming off a rotation in Afghanistan and could be redirected to Pakistan without drawing attention. The helicopter shootdown to which you referred happened three months later, in August and included 15 SEALs from Gold Squadron and 2 from an unnamed West-coast based Squadron. While it is possible that one or more of the SEALs killed in the Chinook shootdown took part in the Bin Laden raid it is unlikely as Squadron changes are rare, and in any event the Bin Laden raid was carried out by approximately 24 SEAL operators on temporary transfer to the CIA.

Pretty sure Buchannon, Hoover, and Nixon were all worse.

Buchannon tried to appease seccesionists in the runup to the Civil War; instead he empowered them and gave them more time to prepare.
Hoover stood by and did nothing while the economy crashed and burned, exacerbating both the length and depth of the Great Depression.
And Nixon was... well... Nixon. The guy who forever stained the reputation of all presidents to follow him and started the long decline of confidence in the US government.
