It might be because jealousy isn't actually one of the "Seven Deadly" sins.

Envy is a reaction of lacking something you desire while jealousy is the reaction to another taking something or someone that is yours. If I am envious of your having a wife = deadly sin....your jealousy aroused by me trying to take your wife = not deadly sin. Confusing, I know.
