My mother in law is in ICU. She had an emergency surgery yesterday. I'll fill you in shortly, they are going to try to wean her off the ventilator in the next hour. :-(
Maybe the hospital has really high prices because chips are "unhealthy"?!

I used to do janitorial work overnight at a hospital. In the ER they had a break room with a freezer and in it was Healthy Choice meals. They were charging patients $12.00-$15.00 depending on which one they choose. Advil were $20.00 each. And an adults always need 2. Sometimes insurance companies wouldn't cover those costs because they were considered unnecessary.
It barely got to 40deg today, I've been fixing cars and equipment all day, taking breaks to meme, I can barely feel my fingers. What I'm thinking I did when I went for the usual colors, my fingers being numb I hit the wrong one and said "F**k it!" I was the last two memes, so between fixing cars and equipment, smashed my fingers several times, I was glad to hit any color for the text! I'm much warmer now! Lol :)
It obviously doesn't get as cold down here as up there, but it's also relative, you know? Plus the fact I've been grabbing cold steel and aluminum sure the hell doesn't help any! Lol :)
Thankfully I don't have to do it as much anymore. I'm just a reserve emergency maintenance experience man or rescue if need be lol. I like the office life now :)
LOL my mother in law is here. I'm on the mend, she is in ICU though. We are hoping they will be able to take the vent off in a little while. She's pitiful.
I bought a Coke at a convenience store the other day and paid .99 for the 12 oz can. I wanted to figure out how much I would have paid for the same can if I had bought it at the grocery store in a case of 24.
I did the math and found out that if I had bought it at our local grocery store it would have only cost me 30 cents instead of 99 cents. And Wal Mart had the 24 pack on sale and it would have cost me 28 cents per can.
I get it having to pay more at a convenience store. You pay for the convenience. However, paying $1 or more on a 12 oz can is just ridiculous. But people like me take the bait sometimes.
