It seems to be a bit slower around here lately. Could it be due to the holidays? I know I was super busy for a while. And I will be super busy again soon. :)

How do you know in advance which ones will only get 50 views?

I don't. Seems like all of mine for the past week or so are getting low views. I don't know why. I'm still submitting at the same times I usually do.

Is there a prime time for submissions?

Socrates is a lot better at answering those type of questions. He is covered up in notifications right now though, so he may not see if we ask him. I like to submit around 7am and noon. If it's a custom template sometimes submitting super early is better in case it takes a long time for the mods to approve it.

I've had good luck submitting about three minutes before the hour, they sometimes come out on top of latest. I just checked out your memes they are mostly or all custom templates (I like making those too) I try to submit my custom template memes between midnight and 2am EST, they usually feature early morning like 6am I think, when not many are coming out of the latest and people are getting up and looking before work. Ask me a question any time. If I don't know the answer, I will help you find someone who does. One other thing I forgot, if you make the meme and dont submit it for a while (hour or more), it may come out buried on page 9 of latest or worse. There's no harm in making a draft meme to look at and think about, then make another one for submission when you know exactly what you want. I do that sometimes. The title and tags can be edited between submission and when your meme features.

Sorry to pepper you, just saw Raydog has some recent submission advice here, imgflip.com/i/1f2rnk Bottom line is the best submission times depend on whether it is a popular or custom template. Other factors like high or low user volume can work for you or against you.

I've tried to submit "Popular Memes" early in the morning, between 5am-8am seems to work good. I've submitted them earlier but sometimes they'll feature at 5am and they miss the morning rush, too early, but that's not always the case. Socrates told me for "Custom Templates" submit them between 11am-Noon, 12:30pm latest. That's has worked well. I've submitted memes at ever hour in the day, it's really a "Feel" type of thing. You know, if you're here every day and get the flow that goes on, you'll be able to call it, but the times I gave work well. If you've have a meme that's hot, people will Upvote regardless of when you submitted it, have no expectations, submit it and check every so often, work on the next! Good luck and happy meming! :)

Popular templates: a few minutes before the hour, a few hours before what you think popular viewing times might be (e.g. morning, lunch, after school).

Custom templates: nobody really has any idea. My guess is, if you can try to figure out what time of day the mods do their "custom template" release, then try to submit the meme an hour or so before then. (Lunchtime was working for me up until recently. but there have been some changes.)

I had the timing for custom templates down to a science...but it's been screwy for about 3 weeks.

If anyone has any better advice, I'd be happy to hear it! Custom templates always seem to be a struggle for getting views. :o

I submitted a custom template last week at 3am and at 3pm it still has hadn't featured so I deleted it and resubmitted the next day at 8am. Featured at 2pm

I submit at 3:00Am. EST. every day because I work 5:00PM to 5:00AM. Usually get comments in a couple of hours. But... The other day I submitted a popular template and it got 8 comments and 2 upvotes. Aggravating.

Probably has nothing to do with timing and my memes just suck. Lol.

Yes, it's been happening to me since a couple months ago. I've had two front page memes in that time. I used to have a front page meme an average of about one per every two weeks. Sometimes I wonder if my memes are getting stale and less funny. I don't know.

I'm newer here but I've noticed something different too. I am not always near a computer at work and even when I am I may have to leave it for hours at a time. When I get home, I'm too tired to make memes. But it seems like we used to see newer memes for about an hour until the next wave of memes are added. I don't know the process, but it seems like my memes get 10-12 views before the next wave hits 15-20 minutes later. I do see the same names over and over for the most part on the first few pages so I'm sure popularity plays a part of it but not sure. I wish I had more time to make comments to get my name out there more but just cannot do it very much!

I had a long response typed out and my finger hit the friggin' shuffle button on my phone. Ugh! Shortened, I do resubmitted memes sometimes, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I also don't like the new submissions times with the memes. I think they get buried before they get seen. I will have to start checking your profile out, it's hard to keep up with people. LOL you have great comments I upvote them all the time :-)

No it isn't. When I create a custom meme that is featured after 10 hours and gets 10 views, I delete it and post it again on the next day.

If you have fun with it, that's all that should matter. That's why I'm here.

50 views would be like a record for me. :(
