Sure glad that PayPal security was on it like white on rice! They shut my card down ASAP! I have my actual card in my hand right now. How someone was able to make another card and then swipe it in California amazes me. I live in Colorado.

That is what happened to me w/bank. However, I use PayPal merchant services, they decline anything out of the norm, and it happens often- but I'm immediately notified.

I had someone do that with mine in Florida, I'm in NY. The bank caught it and called my wife. Card was cut up before I left work new one came in the mail 2 days later.

My card was skimmed. I hadn't used it all weekend and had no reason to check balance. Then I got an email receipt from Home Depot. Their last purchase. Total damage for the long weekend: over 2k from my checking. It was horrid

They thought the bank was robbed.

Some scumbag(s) tried to prey on my mom for over $26K. Claimed to be the IRS, and a charity. Once they got mom to write one check they kept calling her and tormenting her to write more. Put her into a psychotic state that aggravated her dementia/Alzheimer's symptoms. Her bank caught on to it, stopped payment on all the checks, and returned any money already paid out.

And then I would kill them. Probably more of fact than a fantasy.

Someone stole your identity?

I don't have to worry about that. Every time my bank sends me an account balance it ends with "Lol!" But I wouldn't like someone applying for a loan or something using my creds.
