So I lost my beloved Galaxy 3. And now looking to get a new phone. My provider will give me an iPhone5s for free. What to do....

iPhone 5s is a good phone. It basically comes down to personal preference- Iphone 6 and above are just bigger versions of the 5s.. Cameras dont matter, they all take same quality pictures.

Iphones are generally more high-end, with better graphics, faster speed, better processors etc. But you can do more with an android phone, just less quality.

Also, iPhones get free texting if its iphone to iphone. I have an iPhone 5 and it works great.

So if I go with the iPhone and text my Samsung Galaxy 3 wife, it's not free?

No, I mean that between iPhones you can text for free, with or without a carrier, as long as you have a wifi connection. But you can text any phone if you have a carrier.

Ok that makes sense, because I'm always texting with my iPhone co workers and they never complained about not being free....and as I said below, Hokeewolfs apps are Phone - Text - Pandora so probably 5s sould be more than enough. Thanks for commenting!

I can get the Samsung Galaxy J3 for $30 or the iPhone 5s for free......not familiar with either. But I'm not a techie type guy. I will use it as a phone and for texting. I have a laptop at home (and here at work heehee) for imgflip

I don't know much about cell phones either but I know those new iPhones can do just about anything, with all the apps out there, I see some people out there still using pagers! :)

I just got the J3 about a month ago. No complaints.

My wife and I have iPhone SE's. They replaced the 5S's that we had for over 2 years. Same smaller size, which was the main reason I got an iPhone in the first place. I put it in my pocket. I was tired of having to clip-on my Android that was too big to put in pocket. It was always getting caught on chairs and such. The iPhone was the best phone in the small size. I like it, now that I'm used to it, and all the covers for my 5S fit my SE. We did have a problem with crappy call quality but they disabled call-over-data or something that cleared it right up. They knew about the issue. Android, I had more control over, but I'm not hardcore so don't need a lot, just want smooth, fast operation with decent battery life which the iPhone provides nicely.

I've had three personal iPhones and one through work, no major issues in five years.

Get an iphone 6s plus

They are good phones.

Some fanboy wearing an apple watch will definitely buy that from you for nastalgia....especially if you don't take it out of the package
