Lately, I've been submitting original template memes in the afternoon CST because they seem to feature faster that way...it's always best to submit popular template memes in the morning for the normal rush crowd to see them. But whether or not I submit in the mornings usually is determined by how much more SLEEP I need...LOL

I find for me morning seems to get better hits than late day memes. When they come out around 4pm est (my time) everyone is wrapping up work and heading home so no views lol

Good to know. I've been trying to find a sweet spot and failed miserably with the timing for my most recent custom template.

Have you also only been creating them moments before you submit them? Just found out with my latest meme created last night and submitted early this morning that they get featured in order of when they were created.

Yes...I always submit memes right after I make them...If I make one ahead of time, I always re-create it right before I submit it....I don't know if it has any bearing on the upvote versus time since created factor...but I like my memes to be fresh when submitted just in case it does. However, I have seen a meme on the front page before that was over 2 weeks old so it may not even matter....

Here is the one I posted today, https://imgflip.com/i/191t6z . Featured around 9 hours ago, starting on page 10, and only has 24 views and 1 upvote. Had I known when it was going to get featured, and had the ability to create or recreate it 2 hours before then, chances are it would have featured on an earlier page. What it appears to be now is there is a correlation between the age of the meme, when it gets featured, and how many memes are featured at the same time. If the meme is featured at the same time as 80 other memes, and it was created first, it will the last in the list. You could say that it is featured first, and then is pushed down the line as each other one is featured. So the meme that was 2 weeks old on the front page, that could have been featured with a low number of memes being featured at the same time, which increases the chances of it being seen to begin with, or was before when they started featuring each batch by age of creation.

Most of the time it's the same pages...I guess they have a weekly page 9 party on Mondays at 9 pm EST...

Just go to latest pages...hit next so the title pathway has "page 1" behind it then change the 1 to a 9...then hit enter...a little faster way to get there.

You should be able to do it if you have a smart phone...Mine can do it.
