When I first started hearing about Canadians always being polite I thought, why don't I live in that place? I have since visited my brother-in-law and his wife in Edmonton and got a nice feel being up there. We went to Banff and it was spectacular! I really loved it up there, but I can imagine it from a Canadian's perspective. Canada belongs to the Canadians and you sure don't "need" problems leeching up from the south. I will visit, however :-)

I grew up in Pittsburgh and I played hockey for years, and we would go to tournaments up in Ontario, Quebec, and part of Manitoba. Although I ran into some rude SOB's in Quebec, (just a handful) everyone else was wonderful. And the further west of Quebec you got the people really nice! It's getting away from the big city thing I imagine? I know there are a lot if idiots here and their problems, I have to live with the f**kers! Lol. I met a lot of great people every time I went and hold Canadians in the highest respect. Now, that doesn't mean I won't make fun of them, and I expect it back just as hard as I dish it out! Ha ha! :)

I wish people here were more like the Canadians, although I've never been to Canada (maybe except for a layover at Toronto airport)

I want to say in the early days of WW2, when the Japs invaded the Aleutian islands, the U.S. actually started working on the Alaskan Highway before they even asked the Canadians. I'm sure that might have upset someone? Lol

Beiber has the "Attempted" Bad Boy look with tattoos and all, but what makes him such a douchbag is that he starts shit and hides behind those huge body guards of his! On my online literature course, my teacher stuck a link to Tom Sawyer by Rush on the last exam and made us analyze it.

lol, nice. Back in the day we had a very young church organist. The kid was a virtuoso at 19. He would slip in a bar or 2 of Rush, B52s Billy Joel and so on whenever he could. It would always make me smile.
