We got this kid at work that calls in at least once a week, then wonders why his paychecks are so small.

We had a guy at work who had a grandparent die every couple of months... 3 days off with bereavement pay... After the 6th one everyone was like hold on a second... So the company made a new policy where you had to bring in the obituary LOL

Apparently, this one guy was making that excuse a lot, but when his boss called him out on it, it was actually true that 6 of his grandmas died. He had a very big family.

Hey, that's only some of us, unless it's not my generation you're speaking of, don't know when the "new generation" is actually new.
