Technology has made our children dumber. They don't have to learn just click

I disagree. Sort of. Technology is great and all, but being TOO dependent is a bad thing. I think depending on technology is okay up until a certain point. so, uh, I guess you ARE right.

Using and depending on technology is ok until the dependence becomes such that you forget how to do the task manually...One example that I have seen is when a cashier depends on their cash register so much, that they can't do the math if the power went out (I've actually experienced this before). And how many people do you know that, without technology, wouldn't even have basic survival skills...I know a few. Technology is great, but it does have it's drawbacks...which usually aren't known until the tech is gone...

It definitely has made them less resourceful and useless without electronics.

My daughters are 26 and 29. I didn't have to worry about limiting electronics much.

I have a daughter that's 39, a son that's 25, and a 14 daughter. My wife got out and smelled a baby, and wanted one more, then she passed away when the Chana was just 17months, so I've been mom and dad ever since... Also have 4 grand kids, and two great :)

Sorry to hear about your wife that must have been difficult. You seem to be a great dad. You have me beat with the Great Grandkids.

Thanks NotU. It was the most helpless feeling I've ever had watching her waste away from Cancer. But as I've told others I see her everyday in my children... :)

Wow, sorry to hear that about your wife. But like you said, at least you've got kids to remember her by :)

Thanks bro:) That's one thing we all got in common, ain't nobody getting out of this world alive.

It's mostly the parents fault because they can limit their childs use of technology. I'm only ok and screwed now because they limited me too much.

I just read that quill pen feathers were taken from living birds in the springtime from the five outer wing feathers. Common bird feathers used were goose, swan, crow, eagle, owl, and hawk.

No, just because it's him, doesn't mean it's about the user.
