Agreed. Hurling potentially lethal explosive devices at police officers is a serious offence and those individuals responsible should face the force of the law. Protesting is one thing; rioting, civil disorder, looting local businesses and attempt to cause serious bodily harm or even death to law enforcement or any bystanders is another. I'd wager you'd find a lot of the general public on whatever part of the political spectrum would actually agree with that. And the penalties should apply equally to anyone committing such acts for whatever political goal.
