But you don't. Because I did.
For example, how on page 2 of the sylabus, the Majority says, "President’s exercise of his core constitutional powers, this immunity must be absolute."
Which..okay...but how did all the other previous Presidents operate without this immunity?
But...on page 6 they say, "Whenever the President and Vice President discuss their official re-
sponsibilities, they engage in official conduct. Presiding over the Jan-
uary 6 certification proceeding at which Members of Congress count
the electoral votes is a constitutional and statutory duty of the Vice
President. Art. II, §1, cl. 3; Amdt. 12; 3 U. S. C. §15. The indictment’s
allegations that Trump attempted to pressure the Vice President to
take particular acts in connection with his role at the certification pro-
ceeding thus involve official conduct, and Trump is at least presump-
tively immune from prosecution for such conduct."
Which..what the f**k?!?
The President is trying to convince the Vice President to go against the Consittuion. So, EVEN IF what they are discussing is a crime, the President has immunity. Because he's the President. And what does certifying the electoral college vote have to do with his Core Responsibilities?
And then, on page 7, theyy say this, "Testimony or private records of the President
or his advisers probing such conduct may not be admitted as evidence
at trial. "
So, Biden could call a meeting with the head of the FBI. Have it recorded by the White House media team, and his iphone, tell the head of the FBI to round up all of the Trump campaign and have them jailed. And ship them to Gitmo. No charges.
And if the head of the FBI did it... no prosecution. You can't even get the recording of Biden saying all of that to use to indict him.
