Hopefully only a little while. I think they're counting on the sheeple effect, meaning the sheeple are in the dark, with no curiosity to find out what's going on other than what the lying media tells them.
And yes, you nailed it, a lie of omission is a lie nonetheless. Hopefully the sheeple will wake up some day. In the meantime, the media's overlords at the DNC (an incredibly ignorant bunch of imbeciles in their own right) have come up with a strategy that gives Trump all the free publicity he needs, along with rightfully portraying him as a martyr. And the media, being the good little demotard lap dogs that they are, go along with that, and push the narrative. Free campaigning for Trump. You can't make this stuff up.
