Counting seems to slow exponentially when it's "too close to call" and usually benefits the blue when it's said and done

With the margin so close, gotta squeeze out every ballot you can for the party you want to win, or have a run off and get the party you want to win.

Voting machines would fix that problem while still having hard copies of the ballots we could audit the machines with so I don't know WHAT you guys even want anymore.

I think all states should have one standard way of voting, paper or machine. each state votes as if they're an independent country which they're not. There's no consistency. Paper is most reliable and traceable because anything can happen to a computer. One standard ballot type across the board. What do you think?

Well guess what? Not only do states have their own election laws that the federal government is required to stay out of, COUNTIES have their own election laws that states AND federal government have to stay out of.

And do you know whose fault that is?

You guys. Everyone who's ever whined that Big Government is bad and Small Government is what makes candy fall from the sky, THAT'S the reason each precinct largely has to figure out its own rules and to a large degree, external objections to those rules get struck down in courts.

So figure out what you want first, THEN shitpost about it.

Actually they ARE countries, hence why they're called states, and the USA is a federation of them, hence why it's called the United States of America. America is not a country, it's a hemisphere of them. They've had they're own election laws and procedures since they started having elections.

Things are about to get juicier, as many running for office in so-called Red States have been working to change their laws even further, to discount votes or just disregard tallies altogether if, say, a certain autocratic fella or his cooky lawyer pal pick up a phone and tell them to like they did in 2020. That recent refrain of "We're not a Democracy" and the parade of memes decrying the election process aren't coincidental in timing, they're just prepping us for the end of real voting.

Yes, folks, there really IS a conspiracy going on, and it's the one seeking to END the USA as we've known it, HINT HINT. Really, how can keeping the USA the USA be a conspiracy or a bad thing?
