It's true that's like calling macaw its own species or even making a polar bear its own species it's untrue since species is just the main group but it's truer if you said a subspecies since these are unique in their own way than the rest of their cousins.
That's like saying a black guy is his own species from a white man technically untrue since some species don't have subspecies like the human and dogs (breeds don't count the same example if a dire gray wolf is different from a normal gray wolf and also the fact that dog is not a real species but more of a group of domesticated canine).
