Got our puppy back

Our Australian Shepherd ran off a few years ago and some wonderful person brought her to the pound. We are so rural odds were she should have been gone for good. When we went to pick her up she wagged her whole body just like your doggie. I cried I was so happy. BTW this is RoseK under a new account and with a new user name. I wanted to start over with a name I chose and not my google account name.

We puppy raised her as a leader dog for the blind. We had her from 6 weeks old to 13 months. Then sent her to leader dog school. She passed everything but thunderstorms. So after 7 weeks, they called and asked if we wanted to re adopt her. This was her reaction.

I remember you saying that your wife is a dog trainer, right? It's funny but our doggie came as a stray and we weren't sure if she wanted to stay or to go and when she ran off, I thought - that's it. However I felt compelled to look online to see if anyone posted a lost dog photo that looked like her and there she was. Long story short she decided to adopt us!

Yes. Been raising and training pups for 30 years now! And in 30 yeras we somehow have only gotten stray cats. :( LOL!

Awe. They love us all so unconditionally. My dog will be 16 this Fall. He is deaf and mostly blind now. I stomp on the floor when I come home so he can feel me walking towards him. Otherwise he gets startled.

We did the same thing with our deaf sheltie!
