Today I'd like to talk to you about Trickle-down economics and present a possible reason for why your political leadership seems bent on implementing it, maintaining its implementation as national policy. I think we can all agree that money is power and, by extension, the more money you have, the more power you have... so let's dig into that. The common euphemistic justification for Trickle-down economics is "a rising tide raises all ships"... Except we're not talking about tides; we're talking about people with more money than most everyone else... which gives them power. And the problem with both money and power is that those who have them always want more. Enter the promotion of "Trickle-down economics" and the criticality of those with money and power convincing those without that it's a viable system:; if your acquisition of money depends on others deigning to spend their own, those others can control you.
