IS "WORD OF FAITH," JUST HINDUISM?
[3 of 4] Unfortunately, most following the Word of Faith movement don't realize it is basically the practice of Hinduism. It's not just similar; the core beliefs are the same. Word of Faith has taken Hindu teachings, slapped Christianese on them, and used the false teachings to defraud folks in the Christian Church. The Hindu bill of goods these Word of Faith guys (and gals) are selling, goes something like this: You can get anything you want if you have enough belief, speak the right words, use the force of faith, send them money to get trinkets, and repeat phrases over and over. That's Hinduism! Hindus are taught to use the "God force" with mantras (repetitive chanting) to create their own reality. World of Faith leaders adopted those Hindu practices, only changing the terminology. | image tagged in hindu, christian, god, deception, bible, televangelist | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS BIBLICAL SPEAKING IN TONGUES SUPPOSED TO BE GIBBERISH? Gibberish is a false form of speaking in tongues and it is just another phony teaching infiltrating the Christian Church today. If it is going to be a true gift of the Holy Spirit, which is itself a debate about whether those gifts are still even functioning for Christians today, it has to be a known language. I didn't say that; it comes from the Bible in Acts 2 about when the tongues went forth. There, the word is "glossolalia" in the Greek, meaning "languages." So, biblical speaking in tongues was specific languages and not gibberish. The people in Acts 2 heard the tongues in their own languages. | image tagged in bible, god, christian, gifts, spirit, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

HOW IS CHRISTIANITY DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER FAITHS? [1 of 2]
The rest all have a list of demands from their leaders, telling the followers all the WORKS needed to supposedly attain heaven for themselves. Contrary to that, the biblical truth is that there is only one Mediator between man and God who is Jesus Christ. We are able to go straight to Him, avoiding any of man’s rituals, because all the work has already been DONE FOR US. And it costs us nothing except to humble ourselves, admitting we need a savior. In Hebrews, John says, as Christians we have the freedom to go directly to God and do so with boldness, always finding Grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn't that mindblowing!? Even today, when I read that it feels like the words are coming off the pages, just as John seemed to have his mind blown by that realization. John is amazed at the thought that we are actually CHILDREN OF GOD.
Can you believe that--after all the bad things we've done?! | image tagged in christian, bible, faith, god, answers, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT SATAN'S LEVEL OF EVIL? If you've seen our study series, "Spiritual Warfare: The Satanic War on the Christian," you'll know that, in Greek, Scripture's word for Satan's level of evil is "poneros," versus how he could have been depicted as “kakos.” Kakos is just a general evil and could be described in this way:; A kakos person would go in to rob a 7-Eleven and then, when the store is surrounded by the police and there is no way of escape, he would give up and put his gun down. That robber would be considered kakos, or generally bad. But "poneros," which is used for Satan's brand of evil, would result in a quite different end to our scenario. A poneros individual, like Satan, would be in that store with his gun, but when surrounded by the police with no way out, he is so evil he would shoot and kill as many people as he can before being taken. That's poneros and it’s the word our Bible uses to describe Satan. | image tagged in god, bible, satan, devil, evil, lucifer | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO FIND A HEALTHY CHURCH? We get calls and emails every week with the same old story: people can't find a healthy Church. Christians should be very thankful if they have one because there are still faithful shepherds but those are getting fewer and farther between. For those who don’t have a healthy Church, I encourage them to get rid of any convenience mentality. We're living in the days of apostasy (and it will get worse), so we need to do two things since God is faithful to get us to a healthy Church, even though today it may not come easy. Still, five-minute drives are over so give that idea up. I used to drive ninety minutes one way and some at Sunrise do that now; so what? Jesus went all the way to Calgary. In my spirit of bluntness these days I challenge folks to realize they obviously know the importance of a healthy Church but still refuse to drive twenty minutes for it. My counsel goes like this: “With all
due respect, you are admitting your present services are at an apostate Church, which is part of the problem. Your attendance contributes time, treasure, talents, and another tongue to help that apostate Church continue on. Do they really want to do that?” Remember though, there is no perfect Church, including our Sunrise Bible Church. And if you think there is, don’t go there because you’ll mess it up, just like I would. But if all true born-again Christians, who know they're not at a healthy Church, would make an exodus this week, most of those Churches would go belly up. And then Churches preaching the truth could do so much more with the increased numbers. Unfortunately the spirit of convenience and compromise has also infected even the healthy biblical Church because it's not as easy anymore to find. Just know Christ hasn't left you high and dry. He will give you an opportunity to get to a Church where you can grow in your relationship with Him. | image tagged in church, travel, god, christian, jesus, family | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
