Warning: GOD’S GRAPHIC LANGUAGE (Part 1)
Our effort, or works, do not PRODUCE salvation but are instead EVIDENCE of our salvation. Let me verbalize that idea with the original Hebrew definition and I’ll warn you that God is being very graphic here about how our man works, our efforts, in an attempt to achieve salvation, greatly offend His holiness: The term “filthy rags” is quite strong. The word “filthy” is a translation of the Hebrew word “iddah,” which literally means “the bodily fluids from a woman's menstrual cycle.”; And we know what rags are. So this refers to every cult and religion, which is every faith outside biblical Christianity, that says you can or have to earn your way to heaven, which is often works done for the organization, including donating your money to them.

They teach things like getting to heaven by going to the weekend services, refraining from pork, or worshipping on Saturday. They claim those personal efforts will get you there. But God sees those as a filthy menstrual rags that you just tossed in front of God's holy throne.

Advocating works to get yourself to heaven is like throwing a bloody rag before a holy, holy, holy, God.
And it's not me saying that; God said it.
Why is God giving us such a graphic picture? "These 'righteous acts' are considered by God as repugnant as a soiled feminine hygiene product."; God is saying, Excuse me?! My son's blood was shed for you, yet you have the audacity to claim you'll get to heaven through your own efforts. | image tagged in christian, bible, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS THE GIFT OF PROPHECY FUNCTIONING IN THE CHURCH TODAY? If we still get new visions and prophecies from God these days, and they are applicable to us now, then why are we not using them to write a “newer” New Testament? Or do we have the canon of Scripture and that's all we need? Hebrews 1 tells us how God communicates with us today and it is the latter: "In the past, God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets." So, yes, God used to speak to us through the prophets; many times and in various ways. That was God's methodology at that time “in the past” before Hebrews was written. How does He do so now? Here is that as Hebrews 1 continues: "In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son." The words given to us by Old Testament prophets have been written down in the Old Testament and those spoken to us by His Son, Jesus (for these last days) have been recorded in the New Testament. Guess what. That's it. So, we're done! This continuing idea that God is going around to different people giving them "new words" and “new ideas,“ would mean we need to make additions to the New Testament. I hope no one would even go down that route. In essence,
these supposed “new words” and “new visions” are just people getting outside the Bible. | image tagged in prophecy, future, bible, god, jesus, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
